When loss breaks you open
Hope can feel impossible…
Collecting Hope
When grief, loss and big life transitions break you open, restoring your sense of hope can feel impossible.
At Collecting Hope, we support people navigating the emotional and energetic ups and downs that often accompany grief, loss, and major life transitions.
Through a blend of traditional counseling and optional subtle energy rebalancing, we offer space to slow down, feel what’s present, and reconnect with a sense of steadiness and meaning at your own pace.
We are not here to force “healing,” push positivity, or rush you toward happiness. Instead, our work centers on helping you gently regain hope, in ways that feel authentic and sustainable for you.
Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, adjusting to a profound life change, or feeling unmoored by a transition you didn’t choose, you do not have to navigate this alone.
Areas of expertise
Welcome, I’m honored you’re here.
My name is Anna Long‑Stokes. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, with years of experience supporting people through grief, loss, and profound life transitions. Alongside my clinical work, I’ve also trained in and practiced gentle, energy‑based modalities that many people find grounding and supportive during times of emotional upheaval.
After years of offering counseling and complementary healing work in different settings, I felt called to create Collecting Hope; a space for people navigating some of life’s most difficult and disorienting moments.
Collecting Hope is rooted in the belief that grief impacts the whole person. While there is often an emotional component that needs care and understanding, many people also experience grief in their bodies, energy, sense of meaning, or spiritual life. Here, we honor that complexity by drawing from traditional counseling and optional energy‑based practices, always guided by consent and individual preference.
Many of my clients have already spoken with trusted friends, advisors, or therapists, yet still find themselves feeling confused, disconnected, or hopeless. They come seeking support that allows them to slow down, listen more deeply to what they’re carrying, and gently find their way back to a place where hope feels possible again.

Grief, Loss and Life Transition Counseling
One‑on‑one therapeutic counseling for people navigating grief, loss, and major life transitions.
Come as you are. Counseling at Collecting Hope is grounded in compassion, clinical training, and respect for the unique ways grief shows up in each person’s life. Sessions provide space to process emotions, explore meaning, and develop greater steadiness during times of profound change.
Our counseling services are provided by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, offering thoughtful guidance without rushing, fixing, or minimizing your experience.
(Ideal for those seeking emotional support, reflection, and meaning‑making within a traditional counseling framework.)
Energetic Healing
Have you spent time processing the emotional aspects of your loss, yet still feel unsettled, disconnected, or spiritually impacted?
Some people notice that grief also lives in the body, energy, or sense of meaning in ways that talk alone doesn’t always reach.
Energy healing sessions are offered as a complementary, non‑clinical option for those who feel drawn to deeper, experiential support. These individual and group sessions are designed to gently support awareness, grounding, and connection on a subtle level.
Energy healing is always optional, guided by consent and curiosity, and offered as a supportive practice—not a replacement for mental health care.
(Ideal for those seeking contemplative, body‑based, or spiritually oriented support alongside or separate from counseling.)
